Searching is not learning.
Porphy does what a good teacher does and a batch of sixty students can't: read the material properly, put it in an order you can follow, and stay in the room until the hard part makes sense.
The class moves at the speed of the class. Somewhere in chapter four you lose the thread, the teacher is already on chapter six, and asking in front of sixty people is not a real option. So you go home with a textbook, forty open tabs, three explanations that contradict each other, and no idea which to read first.
The information was never the bottleneck. The order was — and so was having anyone to ask at 11pm. Chat assistants solved the asking and left the ordering alone: you can get one question answered brilliantly and still have no path through the subject. Porphy is the other half. It researches the topic, works out the sequence, writes the course, and then attaches a tutor that will talk you through any line of it, as many times as you need.
What we optimise for
Anyone can generate text about a topic. The hard part is sequencing it — the thing you need first, first. Nobody gives up on a chapter because of a bad explanation; they give up because they got a good explanation of step seven while stuck on step three.
Every part comes with the material it was written from, and a reviewer checks the plan before you see it. If something looks wrong — and you are the one sitting the exam — you can go and verify it rather than take our word for it.
Credits are metered at the AI provider's own list price with no markup, and every call is itemised so you can show a parent where the money went. A tutor a student can't afford to open is not a tutor.
Bangla is a first-class output language, voice included — with technical terms held in English so what you learn still matches your textbook, your lecture sheet and your answer script.
What Porphy deliberately isn't
- Gamified. No XP, no daily streaks, no counter guilting you into opening the app at midnight during exam week.
- A gate. Nothing locks the next part until you pass something. The map tells you where you're weak; what you do about it is yours.
- A subscription. Nothing recurring, no card on file, and credits that never expire — a month you don't study costs nothing.
- A wrapper around one chat call. A course is a real research run: a planner, five parallel researchers, a reviewer and a writer per part.
